STEVE: WE BEGIN WITH BREAKING NEWS, A CAR SLAMMED INTO A WINE BAR TONIGHT IN WEST DES MOINES. STACEY: KCCI’S BEAU BOWMAN SHOWS US THE DAMAGE LIVE FROM WINE STYLES. BEAU: SHE WAS DRIVING INTO ONE OF THESE PARKING SPOTS HERE AND DROVE TO THE WINDOW BEHIND ME. JUST A FEW HOURS AGO, IT WAS A LOT MESSIER. IT IS OBVIOUSLY BOARDED UP NOW. TAKE A LOOK AT THESE PHOTOS. THE WOMAN WHO WAS PULLING INTO THE PARKING SPOT ACCIDENTALLY HIT THE GAS PEDAL INSTEAD OF THE BRAKE. SHE DROVE UP THE CARBON THROUGH THE WINDOW INTO THE PRIVATE PARTY ROOM. FORTUNATELY, NO ONE WAS INJURED AND POLICE SAY THERE ARE NO CHARGES BEING FILED. AN EMPLOYEE FROM THE STORE SAID THEY WERE ABLE TO REOPEN 20 MINUTES AFTER THE ACCIDENT. A metro wine tasting shop is back to business as usual after a car crashed into the building.WineStyles West Glen, located at 5515 Mills Civic Parkway in West Des Moines, shared photos on social media of the storefront Monday after a white vehicle crashed into the shop.Police said a woman attempting to park in front of the shop accidentally hit her gas pedal instead of her brake, sending her vehicle up a curb, through a window and into the WineStyles private party room.Nobody was injured in the crash and no charges will be filed, according to authorities.WineStyles reopened 20 minutes after the crash, posting photos of the damage on Facebook with the caption, “Announcing (WineStyles’) new drive-thru!”The shop wrote in a second Facebook post that it will open at its usual hours Tuesday, encouraging visitors to “check out the new digs.”According to WineStyle’s Facebook page, the car broke some beer bottles, but did not harm any wine.
