TEMPO.CO, North Carolina - The police of North Carolina has found a BMX bike rider Dave Mirra dead in a sitting position inside his truck on Thursday, February 4, 2016.
Dave was alleged to commit suicide since the police found a gunshot wound in his body. The police team is amid investigating the cause of the death.
During the period of 1995 to 2008, Dave Mirra had won the famous extreme sport competition, X Games, for several times. He was become popular in Indonesia through Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX console game released by Sony Playstation in 2000.
The game was praised by many critics since it was easy to play and theme songs of the game have represented extreme music culture phenomenon called ‘Hardcore Punk’ which was favorited by urban youths at that time.
Sublime, Pennywise, Social Distortion, are the groups of extreme music who were contributed in the game’s theme songs and had introduced Dave Mirra around the world.
Through the game, Dave Mirra had become a new idol for extreme sport lovers besides Tony Hawk and Matt Hoffman.
