A twice-convicted felon who possessed stolen firearms will spend two years in federal prison.

A judge on Thursday sentenced 34-year-old Joshua Sargent of Fayette to the prison term, and to a 3-year term of supervised release. Sarget in September 2017 pleaded guilty to the charge.

Investigators showed Sargent possessed multiple firearms stolen during burglaries in La Crosse County, Wisconsin. They said he sold two of the firearms to a person who did not know they were stolen. Officers later seized those weapons.

Sargent has convictions for second-degree theft, going armed with intent, violating a protective order, and unlawfully possessing a weapon
