As of Tuesday, not a lot of information was known about Madden.

"He was with us very briefly ... as a parole violator from New Jersey," said Tonya Heist, assistant to the superintendent.

Madden was being supervised by Dauphin County Probation and Parole when he violated by allegedly committing a DUI on May 28 in Newberry Township, Heist said.

He was scheduled for a preliminary hearing on the DUI charge before District Judge Richard T. Thomas on July 8, according to online court dockets.

The Cumberland County Coroner’s Office will determine Madden's cause and manner of death and state police are also investigating, according to the release.

Madden's family have been notified.
