MOORHEAD — The Minnesota State Moorhead softball team fell twice, 6-3 and 11-3, to Minnesota-Duluth on Wednesday.
Dragon pitcher Becky Berth set a new school record for single-season innings pitched with 208.1. The previous record was 204.2, set by Susan Lasch in 1990. In the first game, Berth gave up six runs in seven innings and struck out four. Taylor Roddie was 2-for-4 with a run scored, while Ashley McCance was 2-for-4.
In Game 2, Berth allowed three earned runs in 5.2 innings of relief and struck out three. Shay Weber was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Samantha Gjerde was 2-for-3.
MSUM (28-17) is scheduled to play at Concordia-St. Paul on Friday.
