Bank Robbery Suspect On Loose In Belle Haven: Police

Police are searching for an armed suspect after a robbery at a Wells Fargo Bank.

BELLE HAVEN, VA—Fairfax County Police are searching for a bank robbery suspect Tuesday afternoon in Belle Haven.

The bank robbery was reported at a Wells Fargo Bank at 1805 Belle View Boulevard, police tweeted at 1:31 p.m. The suspect pointed a gun at an employee and demanded money, police say. The employee gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police believe the suspect fled on foot east on Belle View Boulevard. Officers searched the area but have not announced an arrest at this time.

The suspect is described as a black man around 30 years old, 5 foot 5 to 5 foot 10, 150 pounds and wearing a red jacket, black pants and maroon backpack.
