A match was abandoned over a 'mass riot' at Largs' Barrfields Park.

The decision to abandon the Largs Thistle and Cambuslang football match at half-time has been branded a 'joke' by Barrfields boss Arnie.
There were heated scenes as both sets of players headed into their respective dressing rooms after the half-time whistle sounded.
Referee Connor Ashwood repeatedly blew his whistle as the incident happened, and then a short time afterwards, he blew his whistle three times to signal that the match had been abandoned.
However, there was general confusion after the match as fans congregated outside the clubhouse at 2.30pm to try and find out what had happened to cause the game to be brought to an abrupt halt.
Thistle had been leading 1-0 thanks to an early Scott Adam strike but Cambuslang had been reduced to ten man after a sending off.
Largs Thistle President Peter Connor issued a statement after the game: "We are still unclear of why today’s game was abandoned, but me, my committee and team would like to thank all fans who came to Barrfields on a horrible day to support their team."
Scott Robertson, secretary of the West Junior FA said: "Both clubs have been written to and asked for their observations. Apparently it was a mass riot according to the information we have received. They were fighting with each other, and it was serious enough for the referee to abandon the match at half-time."
However, the Largs manager nicknamed Arnie, a.k.a Stuart Davidson, spoke to the 'News' after the game: "It was handbags, and I didn't see any punches being thrown from either side.
"I am absolutely gutted, I thought the players did well to be 1-0 up at half-time, and you fancy yourself to go on and get the three points, and then an incident happened at half-time, and the match got abandoned which I am really not happy about."
Stuart added that he was surprised by the decision for the game to be abandoned. He commented: "I have played in games in junior football before when there have been riots on the pitch, and police horses, and the game carried on, so for a wee bit of handbags at half-time is an absolute joke. There were no punches thrown or anything like that. I just don't understand it, and I am really not happy, and I do believe we could have gone on to win the game. I thought there was more to come but we obviously didn't get the chance. A lot of people have given up their time to attend this game, and Cambuslang fans have travelled a long distance to come here. It is totally wrong and I don't think it has been thought through. The referee said that there was seemingly punches thrown at half-time, but there weren't.
"There is a difference between punches being thrown and a bit of handbags - and I think some people need to realise that coming into such a high pressure game as this. There is going to be a bit of handbags, there are going to be some niggles but you don't abandon games because of that."
Largs Thistle look set to play Cambuslang FOUR times this season now including the abandoned encounter, as this match will likely have to be replayed, Thistle have still travel to Cambuslang on league business, and both teams have been drawn to play against each other at Barrfields Park in the New Coins Automatic West of Scotland Cup.
