Oklahoma man charged with carjacking, kidnapping, arson and murder

HAMMON — A 54-year-old Hammon man has been charged on a number of felony counts, including kidnapping and murder, in connection to a September homicide.

A federal grand jury charged Tommy Dean Bullcoming with first-degree premeditated murder, first-degree felony murder, carjacking resulting in death, kidnapping resulting in death and arson.

Bullcoming is accused of carjacking a woman Sept. 6 in which he “used force, violence and intimidation to intentionally take a Lexus RX300,” according to a court document.

He is also accused of stabbing the woman, which led to her death, “in an especially heinous, cruel and depraved manner in that the offense involved torture and serious physical abuse.”

Bullcoming also is accused of setting fire to the woman's home in Hammon.

He could face the death penalty if convicted on the carjacking count. He faces a mandatory life sentence if convicted of first-degree premeditated murder, first-degree felony murder or kidnapping resulting in death. The maximum punishment for an arson conviction is 25 years.

Bullcoming has previously served prison time in Oklahoma on convictions of assault and batter with a dangerous weapon and drug possession with the intent to distribute, according to state Corrections Department records.
