Attorney General William Barr is expected to send to Congress today his “principal conclusions” on special counsel Robert Mueller’s ultimate findings, a source familiar with the matter told The Washington Times.
Mr. Mueller delivered his report on Russian meddling in the 2016 election to Mr. Barr on Friday.
Since Friday night, Mr. Barr has been reviewing the special counsel’s report and writing a summary for lawmakers.
A White House spokesperson said Sunday that the White House has not received or been updated on the Mueller report.
As President Trump and his allies celebrate the fact that no further indictments are coming, Democrats have demanded that Mr. Barr make the special counsel’s full conclusions available to the public. They have threatened to subpoena members of the Trump administration, and possibly Mr. Mueller, to provide more information if necessary.
The 22-month probe has resulted in charges against 34 individuals and three companies, including six of Mr. Trump’s associates. Also, 26 Russians have been indicted.
Mr. Trump has repeatedly railed against the investigation as “a hoax” and “witch hunt.”
