Free COVID-19 testing sites scheduled throughout West Virginia this week

Coronavirus testing is set to continue in full force across the Mountain State this week.

In addition to standard weekly testing, Cabell, Taylor and Upshur counties will host free testing events Monday, according to the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources.

The Cabell-Huntington Health Department will hold testing at its 7th Avenue location from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Barbour, Doddridge, Fayette, Marion. Putnam and Taylor counties will have testing events Tuesday. The J.W. and Hazel Ruby WV Welcome Center will hold testing from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Fayette County while Teays Valley Baptist Church will have testing from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Putnam County.

On Wednesday, Berkeley, Logan, Monongalia, Putnam, Taylor and Wayne counties will all have testing events.

In Logan County, residents can stop by the old 84 Lumber building from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to get tested. The Poca Driving Range in Putnam County will be the site of testing from 1-5 p.m. while Wayne County Health Department will be holding an event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Testing events will be held Thursday in Boone, Cabell, Lincoln, Marion, Summers and Taylor counties.

Boone testing will be held at the county health department from 1-6 p.m. The Cabell-Huntington Health Department will also hold testing from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and in Lincoln County a testing event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All of the testing events are free and available to all residents of each county, including those who are asymptomatic.

Attendees should bring identification, such as a driver’s license or proof of address, to help in returning test results. Proof of insurance is not required.

Testing will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis.
