One of three finalists for the job of Plymouth town manager has been offered a similar role in Bourne.

Current Oxford Town Manager Jennifer Callahan was chosen unanimously by the Bourne Board of Selectmen as their pick for town administrator Jan. 18 , the same evening Callahan interviewed with the Plymouth Select Board.

The other finalist candidate in Bourne, Marlene McCollem, recently resigned from her position as Plymouth assistant town manager.

Assistant Town Manager Marlene McCollem resigned from her position with the town last month.

Should Callahan accept the position in Bourne, that town’s board would begin contract negotiations and perform a further background check. As of Tuesday, it was not known if she had accepted the position,

The Plymouth Select Board is considering Callahan along with Upton Town Manager Derek S. Brindisi (who also served as Plymouth assistant town manager from 2015 to 2017) and Bothell, Washington, City Manager Jennifer Phillips.

Whoever is chosen will replace former Town Manager Melissa Arrighi, who is serving out the remainder of her already shortened contact, which ends July 29 of this year, as special assistant to Acting Town Manager and Planning and Development Director Lee Hartmann.
