Deadly Games Blu-ray

Posted March 22, 2017 02:02 AM by

German label Camera Obscura has confirmed that it will bring to Blu-ray director René Manzor's film Game Over a.k.a. Deadly Games (1989), starring Brigitte Fossey, Louis Ducreux, Patrick Floersheim, and Alain Lalanne. The release is expected to arrive on the market in time for Christmas.

The upcoming Blu-ray release will be sourced from a brand new 2K restoration of the film which Camera Obscura will complete together with French label Le chat qui fume. A French Blu-ray release is also expected to be made available for purchase during the winter holiday season.

Synopsis: He is nine years old. His name is Thomas. He is a little genius. He believes in Santa Claus. His two favorite pastimes: computers and super heroes. December 24th, midnight. Hidden under the dining room table, Thomas waits for Santa Claus to appear, but he is about to experience the most frightening night of his entire life.

This is a neat little film from what I can remember of it. I don't believe it even ever had an English-friendly DVD release, and Camera Obscura are usually English-friendly as far as their releases go, so this is great news.

Read some reviews and this definitely sounds like my cup o' tea! I usually enjoy Christmas horror films. Camera Obscura does great work and I have little doubt that this will be an exceptional release.
