HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – State prosecutors have arrested a northern Dauphin County man on child pornography charges.

Stephen Vanness Hooven, 47, of Wiconisco Township, was charged Thursday after he allegedly downloaded suspected child pornography to his computer from a peer-to-peer network, according to the state attorney general’s office.

Agents said they searched Hooven’s home and found 25 images of suspected child pornography during a preliminary search. The computer will be analyzed further as part of an ongoing investigation.

Hooven was charged with 25 counts of possession of child pornography and one count each of distributing child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility.

His bail was set at $10,000 and he was ordered to appear for a preliminary hearing April 28.
