(KUTV) La Frontera in Sandy, Utah, has been closed for "presenting an imminent health hazard," as part of a list of violations that included living and dead cockroaches near food.
The Salt Lake County Heath Department issued the closure on Wednesday, with 44 violations that included:
There are both live and dead cockroaches in the establishment, including near the tortilla chip storage, in the mop sing room and dead cockroaches are present in the bar area.
The eatery, located at 61 W., 100600 South, had other violations including some that included disrepair and overall cleanliness. It also stated the person in charge didn't know the relationship between food-borne illness, clean conditions, good repair and how it related to pest control. According to documents from the health department, there is no certified food safety manager employed at La Frontera.

There were descriptions of several other unclean areas that included floor, ceiling and counter space. There was also no soap, hot water or towels available at the bar hand sink.
Disrepair was present in several areas including a gap at the bottom of the exterior door to keep out pests.
