Today
Some call it a boxmaster

Billy Bob Thornton and his band visits Harrisburg today at the Whitaker Center.

When not acting in award-winning films or being afraid of antique French furniture, Billy Bob Thornton likes to make music, usually with his band The Boxmasters. He'll be doing just that when he and his bandmates come to Harrisburg.

The band attempts to blend American honky-tonk with

$?'60s-era British rock, along with some rather arch lyrics found in songs such as "I'm Watching the Game" and "I'll Give You a Ring." Time: 7:30 tonight, Whitaker Center, 222 Market St., Harrisburg. Tickets: $29.50. Info: 717-214-2787 or www.whitakercenter.org.
