Sonic plans grand opening of Warwick restaurant

WARWICK, R.I. (WJAR) — Rhode Island's newest Sonic restaurant will have a grand opening at 2 p.m. Friday.

The restaurant is located at 1134 Bald Hill Road, on the northbound side of Route 2.

The opening created 50 full- and part-time jobs.

Sonic is known for its old-school drive-in style service, complete with carhops.

Sonic also has restaurants in Smithfield and Somerset.
