Pa. man, woman killed after being struck by lightning

A man and woman in Westmoreland County were killed after they were struck by lightning.

The pair were struck in Mammoth Park in Mt. Pleasant Township at around 4 p.m. on Thursday, KDKA reports. The pair were on the island part of the park’s lake when they were struck.

Bystanders and park police started CPR but were unable to revive the man and woman, Westmoreland County Coroner Kenneth Bacha told the news agency.

Their names have not yet been released.
