FUMING: James Lowes

The Bulls boss blasted the Million Pound concept after Wakefield ended his side’s Super League hopes.

Lowes said: “I know I am going to get in trouble but I am sick of it. “If this is the future of rugby league then I will not be in it.

“I have 17 blokes who could potentially lose their jobs on one game after they have worked hard all year.

“I cannot see how it benefits the game.”

Wildcats led by just two points with four minutes to go as their top-flight status hung in the balance.

But Danny Addy missed a last-gasp kick before Scott Moore raced in to punish him.

Wakefield had led 12-0 early in the second half with tries from Danny Kirmond and Anthony Mullally.

Bradford hit back with scores from Danny Williams and Matty Blythe before Danny Washbrook restored the lead.

But Adrian Purtell set up the dramatic finish with his 65th-minute converted try.

Wakefield coach Brian Smith said: “I have nothing but admiration for these players.”
