She was born in Kasota, the daughter of Charles and Etta (McFadden) Flowers.

Mary Ann worked in every position in her husband’s trucking business, Becker Hi-Way Frate, with the exception of driving. Mary Ann was always the happiest while working at her husband’s side. They traveled coast to coast in his antique Mack truck, pulling a fifth-wheel trailer.

Mary was strong in her faith and was a faithful member of St. Theodore Catholic Church.
