Chilly, Plenty Of Sunshine Ahead For Charlotte This Week

The arctic start to the work week will temper a bit this week, but there are still chilly days ahead. There will also be plenty of sunshine.

CHARLOTTE, NC — The cold start to the work week Monday morning is a harbinger of chilly days ahead this week, according to the National Weather Service. The Charlotte-metro and Lake Norman region awoke Monday morning to frosty temperatures — the first thus far this season — and a frost warning was in effect until 10 a.m.

Temperatures are expected to see saw this week, with Tuesday’s high warming to the low 70s. Wednesday, however, will be almost 10 degrees cooler, with highs dipping dramatically by Wednesday, when the temperature isn’t expected to rise higher than 56. Lows every night this week are expected to stay in the 40s.

Those chilly temperatures will carry into the weekend, NWS said.
