Sloppy play contributes to Lafayette Aviators loss

Staff reports

Wednesday night is one the Lafayette Aviators would like to forget.

Six errors that led to seven unearned runs were too much to overcome in a 14-1 Prospect League baseball loss at Springfield.

Lafayette collected nine hits but could not score until the seventh inning when Kevin Raisbeck doubled home Purdue's Milo Beam, who had also hit a double. Beam and Jordy Libman finished with two hits apiece.
