Entrepreneurs and start-ups are invited to find out how working in a collaborative flexible space could be good for business by boosting creativity, networking opportunities and overcoming "groupthink".

The business breakfast event at Spaces' Lewis Building, 35 Bull Street, in Birmingham city centre takes place from 8.30am to 10.30am on Tuesday November 19.

It is the latest in a series of free events offering advice to firms, particularly SMEs and the self-employed that also gives attendees the chance to network with similar-minded people and companies.

Highlighting why co-working is the secret to driving creativity in business, the event will focus on how companies can overcome groupthink - when all employees are under one roof, having the same conversations with the same colleagues, restricting creativity and new ideas and innovation being developed because of a willingness to conform.

Groupthink is viewed as one of the biggest barriers to corporate innovation but a panel of experts will discuss how working alongside other businesses and individuals from other fields in shared spaces can offer a new perspective to issues or approaches along with challenge thinking.

Entrepreneurs were given a fascinating insight into how co-working spaces are growing and offering more personalised, high tech offerings as they fit into people's more flexible approach to work with an emphasis on work/life balance, at the first event at the Spaces office at Crossway, 156 Great Charles Street Queensway, in Birmingham city centre.

It explained how businesspeople could have access to best-in-class IT, security, telecommunications capability and a professional, inspiring environment, without significant set up costs without the complications and inflexibility of leasing an office with long-term contracts.
