In a world of new and growing face mask companies, Dainty Disco Masks By Marissa Lujan is doing it right. Right when the 2020 lock down began in March, Lujan and her team created the face mask business. As face masks became a necessity, Lujan realized there was a high demand for them. She began making the masks, and as requests came in from family and friends, she needed to find a way to support her new endeavor financially. Lujan had this today about her wonderful support team,
“I’m super grateful to my mom, boyfriend, my boyfriend’s mom, and a cousin who help me complete a large amount of orders every day!”
With her hand sewing talents, the support of her loved ones, and her passion for helping her community, she started Dainty Disco Masks. Now Dainty Disco Masks have daily shipments, including all of her donations to local Kaiser Permanente. Dainty Disco Masks and Lujan look forward to the end of the pandemic and plan to use this experience to open a handmade item gift shop.

MM Flowers & Plants

Monze Delgado is someone who has many passions and has developed each one of them into a business. Her story is being a driven opportunist of her circumstances. As a nursing student, she’s very busy with her studies, so finding a full-time job to support herself, pay for school, and give her a flexible schedule is demanding. Starting two businesses in the industries she loves and complimented her lifestyle was an opportunity she worked hard to achieve. Delgado’s goals are for two passionate companies to continue to grow and make customers happy even after completing her studies.
Her first endeavor came from her talent for floral arrangements! When COVID-19 hit in mid-March, Delgado was quick to use her time wisely. MM Flowers began their business in March and officially started taking orders in July of 2020. As a new business, it took two to three months to prepare for orders to be made, but with the power of social media and excited customers, the orders began coming in at a great pace. On her Instagram, you can see how she arranges beautiful California-grown bouquets of everything from roses to sunflowers and lilies. Based in Pico Rivera, Delgado also provides delivery to surrounding areas like Los Angeles, Orange County, Inland Empire, San Bernardino, and San Diego. M Catering was already an idea when 2020 began – but when the safety concerns for COVID-19 started shutting everything down, Delgado had more time to work on her business, which is when M Catering officially launched in March 2020. Using social media and networking, M Catering has grown by her customer’s word-of-mouth promotions. M Catering offers everything from Cakes, Crepes, Catering, Custom bottles & more for single orders and event catering. All ingredients come from her family’s home recipes that include working with allergies, dairy-free, and egg-free options. Have you seen their Instagram? Saber Support

Some companies sell fantastic products, and others provide a beneficial service. Saber Support began growing by the work of two friends, Daniel Saberwal and Arshian Pad, in June 2020. So she started the virtual summer camp, Kailey’s Queens, to mentor these young women through multiple online clubs such as Book Club, Baking Club, and Craft Club. Kailey’s Queens is a rare new company that helps parents keep their children engaged and helps these young queens develop new skills, hobbies, and connections to last a lifetime. These events allow young girls to develop passions in a positive environment, with everything they need for club events, ranging from baking ingredients to book boxes to craft supplies, shipped to their door for a small fee of $30.
