SUBMITTED PRESS RELEASE:

Legendary Hall of Fame boxer Evander “Real Deal” Holyfield will lead a series of training camps for both children and adults on July 7th and 8th at the Rumble Training Center located at 375 N. 9th Avenue. The Law Office of J.J. Talbott is hosting this event in an effort to promote self- discipline, physical education, and emotional wellness to people of all ages living in the greater Pensacola area.

Evander Holyfield will be teaching the fundamentals of boxing including punching combos, mitt work, foot work, head movement, ring awareness, how to properly hit the heavy bag, boxing specific workouts, and other skill concepts.

Roy Jones Jr.’s long time assistant trainer, Alfy Smith, and MMA coach Brandon Bolton will join Holyfield during the camp. Bolton is the owner of Rumble Training Center and has trained fighters for competition in both UFC and Bellator.

Each day will feature two trainings: a morning camp from 9am-12pm for kids ages 5-12 and an afternoon camp from 2pm-5pm for ages 13+. Each session will be followed by a Q&A. Tickets for each session are $100 each. Purchase price includes t-shirt, boxing gloves, training session and photo opportunity. Multi- day and sibling discounts are available.

Proceeds from ticket sales will be split between Bolton and Smith’s charitable ventures. Bolton is launching the Venus Jones Project this summer, an initiative that will lead anti-bullying and self-defense programs for local students. Smith is building a program to serve at-risk youth through the development of a boxing facility at Life Changing Ministries.

The Law Office of J.J. Talbott has sponsored the event in order provide scholarships to children who might not be able to attend the camp otherwise, particularly those in the community’s foster care system. Over 50 kids and teens have received a free ticket so far.

“When Alfy and Brandon first proposed this event to us, we were extremely excited to support it, but wanted to ensure that all children had a chance to participate,” attorney J.J. Talbott said. “We believe that a strong community starts with our children and we are happy to have the opportunity to provide this camp to everyone – especially some of the most vulnerable young people in our area.”
