Augusta, Ga--The Augusta 706ers of the ABA have finalized a deal to use the James Brown Arena for their home court for the upcoming season.

This is the return of the ABA as the 706ers have been adding to their roster in the final few weeks. All along, they had identified the James Brown Arena as their number one site to host their games.

After a couple of months of negotiations, the two sides have reached a deal to use the venue.

President and CEO Scott Killebrew said, “This is a fantastic opportunity for our team, and we couldn’t be more fired up. We had our eyes on the James Brown Arena as a home venue from the moment we started this team, and now we’ll be tipping off there in just a couple months; it’s surreal. I know that our guys are excited to be playing in front of their home crowd, on its biggest stage, and trust me when I say, they will not disappoint.”

The team says they will open the season on November 10th at the JBA.
