PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Weddings can be pricey. Salishan Resort, located on the Oregon Coast, would like to help with that.
The resort announced on Monday that they’re doing a winter Wedding Giveaway promotion for one lucky couple. The Salishan Sweethearts giveaway is valued at over $20,000 and it can serve up to 100 guests.
“There’s nothing like a wedding along the Oregon Coast – any time of year,” Ryan McCarthy, the general manager of Salishan Resort, said in a press release. “Salishan provides the perfect venue for romantic winter weddings or outdoor celebrations in the summertime.”
The package includes a ceremony, reception, photographer, flowers and overnight accommodations at the Gleneden Beach location.
To be considered for the giveaway, interested couples have to submit a video by Oct. 20 on why they think the resort is the perfect wedding venue. The resort will then select three finalists and leave the final decision up to a public vote. The winner of the package will be announced on Nov. 8.
The wedding is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019.
The giveaway is not only for the winner, however. The two other finalists will receive $500 off a wedding at the resort, and anyone who enters the contest will receive a 10 percent discount on their purchase through June 15, 2019.
