Oprah Winfrey holds dinner for group of special ladies

Oprah Winfrey spent her Thanksgiving giving back. The media titan was spotted at a Wednesday-night performance of Broadway’s “The Color Purple” with 20 alumnae from her Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa.

The former students, along with Winfrey’s longtime partner Stedman Graham and best friend Gayle King, were able to talk with cast members Jennifer Hudson, Cynthia Erivo and Danielle Brooks (who also stars on TV’s “Orange Is the New Black”) after the show.

We hear the young Leadership Academy women, who are now in colleges across the United States, told Hudson that her song “Too Beautiful for Words” in the Winfrey-produced musical is their “new anthem.”

On Thursday, Winfrey held a Thanksgiving dinner for the ladies at the Rainbow Room.

“Oprah’s first time to the iconic space,” King wrote on Instagram with a shot of the luxe table settings.

“Something tells me she’ll be back.” On Friday, the girls were given a makeup class with Clinique and MAC.
