Tacos of Texas Television Show, and More A.M. Intel

— Taco journalists Mando Rayo and Jarod Neece are filming a taco television pilot for ITVS and PBS’ digital branch. That test episode will take place in El Paso. If it gets picked up, the duo will cover tacos in various Texas cities.

— After naming the 50 best barbecue joints in the state, Texas Monthly shared other smoked meat places that are just as great, but just missed the cut-off number. This includes Kerlin Barbecue and "what may be the best pork ribs in Austin," according to editor Daniel Vaughn.

— Nano-brewery Orf Brewing is now open on Burleson Road in Southeast Austin with four available beers.

— Vogue highlighted Cannon + Belle's tomato water-based clear Bloody Mary.

— Congress Avenue bar Speakeasy is suing its landlord, Bears & Sons, over what it claims is an unfair eviction. The lease is up on Saturday, July 1, and Rally in the Alley Limited, the company that owns Speakeasy, doesn't want to move from the downtown space, but Bears said it violated some rules.

— The next season of Food Network’s Texas Cake House, with Natalie and Dave Sideserf of Sideserf Cake Studio, airs on Monday, July 10. Episodes featuring the customizable cake bakery include cricket cakes with cricket flour, a flying penguin cake, and a birthday cake for musician Ray Benson.
