Move over Drake! Chris Brown uses unheard vocals from late singer Aaliyah on new track

They have been part of an ongoing feud over their shared ex-girlfriend Rihanna for quite some time now.

And now Chris Brown has carried the rivalry through to his professional life by showing that whatever Drake can do, he can do better.

The 24-year-old announced on Tuesday that his latest tune features never-before-heard vocals from singer Aaliyah, who passed away in a plane crash in 2001.

The use of her vocals will undoubtedly annoy his rival Drake - who sampled her voice in his track Enough Said in August.

The lyrical content of the tune was considered by many listeners as being a vehicle to attack Brown.

Now Brown is set to release his track They Don't Know - taken from his upcoming album X - and has promised fans a ‘special’ treat by including the late R&B star's voice.

Speaking at the BET Awards 2013 press conference, where he was nominated for Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, Chris said: ‘I got something special for my fans.

'It's called They Don't Know. This song features Aaliyah. And never-before-heard vocals.

'All new stuff that's never been heard before.’

The Forever hitmaker shot the video for the song in the Los Angeles ‘hood’ last weekend and hopes his chosen location will unite people from various backgrounds.

He added: ‘I shot it in the 'hood. I went to 60th Street and Cedar Block.

‘[I'm] bringing both worlds together and trying to uplift the poverty side of the community and show them where I'm from.

'I'm from Virginia, but everybody comes from a broken home or being broke - I remember when I was.’

Aaliyah is just one of many artists to feature on his unreleased album, which is out in July.

Other big names to lend their vocals include Nicki Minaj and Kendrick Lamar, in addition to production by Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, Polow Da Don, Danja and Drumma Boy.

Drake, real name Aubrey Drake Graham, and Chris were caught up in a massive brawl at W.i.P nightclub in New York last June where many bystanders were injured.

The fight, which left the club looking like a war zone with broken bottles everywhere, was supposedly caused by Chris sending Drake a bottle of champagne.

Drake reportedly sent the bottle back to Brown with a note reading 'I'm f****** the love of your life, deal with it'.

Though Brown, who was famously plead guilty to the felony charge of assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, was enraged by the note, he claims that he was not the one to start the fight and points the finger at Drake and his entourage instead.

Basketball star Tony Parker, who was previously married to actress Eva Longoria, said that he had to sit out a week of training for the Olympics because his cornea was scratched during the fight.
