“Woke up in Paris,” Kaia Gerber captioned an Instagram photo — showing her body wrapped in nothing but a bedsheet in a chic hotel room — last week.
Many on Instagram commented on how much she resembled her mom, to which Cindy Crawford simply responded, “Ha!”
But what wasn’t discussed was a certain person missing from the camera’s lens — Kaia’s current boyfriend Pete Davidson.
Indeed, the 18-year-old’s new beau, “Saturday Night Live” lady’s man Davidson, 25, also didn’t show up when she presented at the British Fashion Awards in London. Never mind that he’s barely had screen time on “SNL” this season, or that he has a history of accompanying his girlfriends to overseas work events, such as when he was the plus-one of “Once Upon a Time in . . . Hollywood” actress Margaret Qualley at a Venice film premiere this past summer.
It seems that Kaia’s A-list parents might just be getting their holiday wish.
“I think they’re just hoping this could all fizzle out,” said a source close to the family. “[Kaia’s] traveling and working constantly — how serious can [she and Davidson] get?”

Cindy and her entrepreneur husband Rande Gerber — who is as well known for his BFF friendship with George Clooney as his famous marriage — “are very hands-on” parents to Kaia and her brother Presley, 20, said another family insider.
Friends told The Post that the clan spent Thanksgiving together in Europe before Kaia’s work duties.
Asked if Cindy and Rande are concerned about photos of their baby girl wrapped around Hollywood’s latest Lothario — Davidson was linked to Qualley, Ariana Grande and Kate Beckinsale in the space of a year — the source close to the family said: “I don’t think they’re that worried about it because she’s only 18.
“Kaia can be slightly naive. But she’s a smart girl with a good head on her shoulders and a family who watches out for her.”
As the close family source points out, despite the famous friends and the star-studded annual Halloween party that the family attends in group costume, the Gerber kids weren’t brought up in Hollywood.
“They live so far out in Malibu, it’s almost in Ventura — not where everybody else lives. They have a compound on the cliff, overlooking the water,” added the source.
An insider who knows both Cindy and Rande told The Post the couple hasn’t lost any of their romantic spark since meeting more than two decades ago.
“They still have major chemistry,” the insider said. “Rande will tell colleagues, ‘Don’t call me today, it’s Cindy’s day.’ He’s always planning something special.”
The couple wed in 1998, after meeting at the wedding of mutual friends. Both were dating other people at the time.
Crawford, who was married to Richard Gere from 1991 to 1995, saw her fashion career take off when she moved from the Midwest to Manhattan at age 20, after dropping out of Northwestern University. She became one of the most iconic models of the ’90s: While the term “supermodel” is thrown around lightly today, Crawford owned the title along with pals Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington and Naomi Campbell (all of whom appeared in the music video for George Michael’s “Freedom”). When she filmed her famous 1992 Pepsi commercial, the catwalker was perhaps the most recognizable model in the world.
She would re-create that ad 26 years later with her son who, like Kaia, couldn’t seem to stay out of the modeling game.
Presley, who has his mom’s famous beauty mark on his right cheek, has strutted for brands like Moschino, Dolce & Gabbana and Burberry. Covered in tattoos — including “Kaia” on his left arm, and a gun on his hip — he’s been linked to a string of influencers and models.
Sticking with the close family vibe, the 20-year-old barely left home.
“My son lives in our guesthouse now so he has more freedom, but somehow he still comes over for every meal and to do his laundry,” Crawford told Town & Country.
In an unusual misstep for the family, Presley was arrested for DUI on New Year’s Day after cops pulled him over for speeding through Beverly Hills in his Tesla. In July, he pleaded no contest to one misdemeanor count of driving with a .08% blood-alcohol content and was sentenced to three years of probation. He’s also been ordered to complete a DUI program, as well as two days of community service.
A source familiar with the incident told The Post that rumors that Presley went to rehab following his arrest are false.
Kaia got her start in fashion at the tender age of 10, posing in a leather jacket and miniskirt for a Versace ad. After that, her parents said she had to wait until she was 16 to pursue a modeling career.
Four days after her 16th birthday, Kaia was on a catwalk for Calvin Klein. She has since modeled for Prada, Chanel, Fendi, Alexander Wang and Marc Jacobs, and already been on the cover of French Vogue.
But Crawford is still ultra-protective.
“We talk every day, at least, and text. If she doesn’t text me back within 15 minutes, I do one in all caps and a lot of exclamation points,” Crawford told Town & Country. “Just respond, OK? Or else I’m going to track you through your Uber account.”
Gerber and Crawford often vacation with Clooney and his lawyer-wife Amal, but lately they’ve been hanging out with a more surprising li’l buddy: singer Harry Styles, 25.
“Rande considers him one of his close friends,” said a Gerber source.
The musician has vacationed with the family, attended an Eagles concert with them, joined them for parties and meals and regularly hangs out at Gerber’s office.
Last month, Kaia went to the “SNL” studios to see both Davidson and Styles when he hosted the show.
Clooney, meanwhile, met former bar owner Gerber some 30 years ago when he was in New York City to film a movie and walked into Gerber’s joint.
“He was spending three months in New York, and every night we would hang out at the bar and we became great friends,” Gerber told Business Insider.
So great that they built matching houses next door to each other in Mexico and dubbed the compound Casamigos. Later, they would repurpose that name for their tequila business, which they sold in 2017 for $1 billion.
(It’s not the only time they have shared money. In 2013, Clooney gave a group of pals — nicknamed “The Boys” — including Gerber $1 million each. After inviting his friends over, Clooney placed suitcases in front of them, gave a speech about how grateful he was for their friendship, then had them open the luggage. Inside was a pile of $20 bills totaling $1 million.)
Now that Gerber has sold his tequila company, he’s found a new business partner in Crawford.
One of their favorite things to do together: flip houses.
“They’ve bought and flipped in Malibu like three times,” said the source close to the family. “They may be posing on red carpets and sitting on the front row at Prada, but really they’re just happiest at home in Malibu.”
