More than any other world leader, US President Barack Obama projects an image of calm, authority and deliberation. Whether he’s delivering the State of the Union or sending up FOX News at a comedy dinner, he always seems to be in control of his surroundings, unlike a certain other head of government who can’t seem to resist chomping into onions like a hungry mule.

But according to comedian Keegan-Michael Key, whose turn as Obama’s Anger Translator Luther is one of Key & Peele‘s most beloved recurring sketches, got a glimpse at the real deal when he had to rehearse with Obama for their legendary double act at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner earlier this year. Speaking to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, Key recounted meeting the President for the first time, dropped a scarily accurate Obama impersonation and revealed that the leader of the free world spent most of the rehearsal time being a giant giggly mess.

“DON’T YOU FUCK ME OUT THERE, BARACK.” Best.
