EX-CELTIC star Rab Douglas was left red faced after a Raith Rovers steward mistook him for the match referee.
The Arbroath goalie was given a warm welcome at Stark’s Park as the Red Lichties travelled to Kirkcaldy for their League One clash.
But he took to Twitter to reveal how security thought he was today’s whistler.
The 45-year-old wrote: “When you pull up at Raith Rovers and the steward asks if you’re the referee.”
Douglas – capped 19 times by Scotland - hung up his gloves in the summer but answered an SOS from Arbroath boss Dick Campbell last month.
He has enjoyed a glittering career, winning three league titles with Celtic and starring in the club’s 2003 Uefa Cup run.
