Barbra Streisand parties with John Travolta, Lady Gaga

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 24 (UPI) -- Barbra Streisand partied with John Travolta, Lady Gaga and other famous friends over the weekend.

The 73-year-old singer and her husband James Brolin hosted Travolta, 61, and his wife Kelly Preston as well as Lady Gaga and Ryan Murphy. Travolta and Lady Gaga will star on Murphy's series American Crime Story and American Horror Story: Hotel, respectively.

"[John] loves Gaga and wanted to get everyone together," a source told E! News of the star-studded evening. "And Ryan and Gaga had never met Barbra and really wanted to, so it all came together!"

Streisand and Lady Gaga both shared photos from the get-together on social media, with the former writing, "A wonderful evening at home." Lady Gaga added, "Barbra and me. What a completely amazing woman. #Funnygirls."

Travolta will portray O.J. Simpson defense attorney Robert Shapiro on American Crime Story, which Murphy is co-executive producing. Lady Gaga, meanwhile, will play an evil, Countess of Bathory-like character on American Horror Story: Hotel.
