Guitar virtuoso Charlie Hunter and jazz singer-songwriter Lucy Woodward recently teamed up to record “Music!Music!Music!,” an album being released worldwide this week. The recording, which also features longtime Hunter collaborator Derek Phillips on drums, showcases the dazzling interplay between Hunter’s funky guitar and Woodward’s stunning voice as the duo performs a wide range of roots-oriented material originally recorded by artists ranging from Blind Willie Johnson and Nina Simone to Terence Trent D’Arby and Lucinda Williams.
