GOSHEN — Lewis University junior Jeremy Burbrink is one of 14 Great Lakes Valley Conference student-athletes to receive the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award.

He is a Northridge High School graduate, who is currently competing in the GLVC men’s swimming and diving championships at the Crawfordsville Aquatic Center in Crawfordsville.

The student-athletes chosen for the award are individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These individuals must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. The honorees are now eligible to become one of their school’s two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced at the end of the academic year.

Burbrink was the recipient of the Br. David Delahanty Award — given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence — and named to Academic All-GLVC Team in 2017.
