'The Original High' Singer Adam Lambert Inspires Charity; Queen Frontman Talks About New Album

Adam Lambert's fans can be quite passionate about the Queen frontman and now they've channeled their energy for a very worthy cause. The "American Idol" alum, meanwhile, talked about his new album.

According to Pop Crush, Adam Lambert's fans have created the Touch of Sparkle, which is a campaign to distribute care packages to cancer patients who are undergoing chemo.

Touch of Sparkle organizer Melanie Hershey said, "The idea is to spread a little care and humanity and try to lighten the load during this difficult stage of the patients' journey."

"Any donations, however small, are very much appreciated to help us spread a touch of sparkle and lend a helping hand to those facing this difficult journey," she said.

The group is trying to go crowd sourcing through Go Fund Me website in order to raise some funds to get the campaign going.

"The packages include practical items (e.g. bed socks, tissues, takeaway vouchers, sweets, drinking straws, herbal tea for anti-sickness) as well as distractions (e.g. puzzle books, pens, earphones, playing cards) and pamper items (e.g. nail varnish, lipbalm, eyebrow powder for hair loss)," it said.

Touch of Sparkle, however, is an unofficial charity group of Adam Lambert as the Queen frontman has yet to make an official endorsement of the organization.

Pop Crush said that fans of Adam Lambert have donated almost 60 copies of "The Original High" to the group.

Speaking of "The Original High," the Queen frontman guested on The Talk where Adam Lambert talked about the vision for the new album.

"It's a bit different than what I have done in the past," he said. "I think it's a bit more grounded. It's more introspective. It's not quite as over the top and theatrical as some of my other stuff."

"It's still me singing my heart out - but I think there is more nuance, there's more dynamics. There's something for everybody on there," Adam Lambert added about his new album.
