Vicky Pattison reveals she was ‘unhappy’ and thought she was fat when she weighed eight stone in candid throwback
The 30-year-old reflected on her confidence journey by sharing a throwback snap beside her currently happy and healthy self
VICKY Pattison has revealed felt "unhappy" and "fat" at eight stone in an honest Instagram throwback post.
The former Geordie Shore star, 30, reflected on her body confidence journey with followers today, as she prepares to "up her fitness game" ahead of her wedding to fiancé John Noble.
Vicky shared a snap of her younger, slimmer self in fitness gear, beside one of her laughing during a more recent workout.
With the difference in attitude clear to see, the star urged her followers to enjoy a life of balance in a caption, having spent years "depriving " herself of happiness for a better body.
She said of the left image: "I was around 8 stone, exercised twice a day, obsessively calorie counted, deprived myself of things I wanted, lived a life scared to socialise, was uncomfortable in my own skin no matter how much I trained, wore too much makeup as I wasn’t confident without it.
"Clothes size 6 were often too big for me. I still thought I was fat and this is the worst part- was unhappy."
She went on: "The picture on the right was taken much more recently. I don’t know what I weigh, I exercise when I can and when I do I go HARD but I don’t beat myself when I skip a session.
"I’m a size 10 but sometimes I need a 12 in jeans because my bum is so big, I enjoy food- everything from a green juice filled with kale and spinach and some scrambled egg to a cheeseburger and gin and tonic.
"I know I’m not perfect but I know I’m not fat, I smile a lot. And this is probably the most important part- I am, for the most part, happy."
Clearly emotional, she added that she was "done apologising" for enjoying a few treats once in a while, and encouraged her fans to embrace their bodies, whatever shape or size.
She said: "I am normal & honest and I’m never going to stop fluctuating a bit in size, enjoying a wild weekend.
"Sometimes being more diligent with my training and sometimes hiding from my PT in a cupboard eating m&ms... I will also never stop championing other women and celebrating their beauty in all shapes & sizes."
She ended the message by revealing her new account Vicky's Bridal Bod, which will follow her new health and fitness regime, ahead of her wedding fiancé John Noble.
Vicky recently reunited with her man for a romantic day out in Newcastle, after four weeks of working away.

The pair became engaged last year, but will not tie the knot until summer 2019 as they are both "terrible" at planning.
She told Fabulous Online last month: "We are terrible together. We got engaged last summer, and the first thing we both thought was ‘we love each other, we’re going to get married’.
“But we hadn’t thought about who was going to plan it.
“I work hard and he works hard, and neither of us wanted to take our foot off the gas in that respect."
