Once upon a time, we thought of Victoria Beckham as Posh Spice, nowadays however, she's made a name for herself as a legitimate fashion designer and the epitome of modern, sleek chic.

While we might have fond memories of the Spice Girls days, it looks like things weren't all they seemed behind the scenes. Speaking to Claudia Winkleman on Thursday night at the Vogue 100: A Century of Style exhibition at London's National Portrait Gallery, VB admitted that music producers used to turn off her microphone during Spice Girls concerts.

Yep, the pop star-turned-fashion designer has revealed she used to mime along while bandmates Geri Halliwell, Mel C, Mel B and Emma Bunton sang their hit tracks.

Victoria, 42, has graced the cover of British Vogue three times, and revealed the secret while giving a speech at the exhibition, where she was joined by her eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham.

Victoria said: "They used to turn it off and just let the others sing. I got the last laugh - and now my mic is well and truly on, finally."

17-year-old Brooklyn took to Instagram to praise his mum, saying: "So proud listening to my mum speak tonight @nationalportraitgallery @britishvogue #Vogue100 love this Juergen Teller shot! @victoriabeckham @davidbeckham."
