A suspect in a carjacking and armed home invasion in central Florida eventually surrendered, but not after opening fire on deputies and leading them on a high-speed chase.

The Pasco Sheriff's Office shared video of the dramatic chase on Facebook. We're only sharing a portion of it here due to language in the video.

Investigators said the fleeing suspect rammed a deputy's car before speeding along SR 54 near Zephyrhills.

Deputies said the suspect drove over some stop sticks. They flattened his tires but didn't stop his car.

The sheriff's office said the fleeing man later pulled out a gun and fired several shots at pursuing deputies. Soon after, body camera video shows the deputy ram the suspect's car into a ditch. After a short standoff, the man gave up.

The unidentified suspect faces additional charges of attempted homicide of a law enforcement officer, flee to elude, and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.

Investigators said no one was hurt in the ordeal.
