Hundreds of runners who helped raise thousands of pounds during a race were honoured at a special presentation evening.
The Abbots Langley Tough Ten race has been held on the first Sunday in October every year for the last 35 years.
The race was renamed in memory of former Watford FC and England manager Graham Taylor, who had awarded prizes at the race over the last 10 years.
Participants managed to raise £10,000 and their efforts were awarded at a ceremony at Breakespeare School, in Abbots Langley, on Friday, January 26.
The proceeds were given out to various beneficiaries including The Friends of South Herts Samaritans, represented by Anthony Logie, who received a cheque for £500.
Demand was given a cheque for £750 to assist them with local projects and The Electric Umbrella was given a cheque for £2,000 to help the group continue their work which encourages adults with learning difficulties to write, experience and perform music.
During the awards evening, chairman John Reid thanked everyone who helped this year including The Ginder Family, who are the main sponsors.
This year’s Tough Ten race is expected to take place on Sunday, October 7.
