The Voice mentors Adam Levine and Blake Shelton land three male singers in final... as viewers vote for fourth spot

The Voice final was shaping up to be a proper boys club - with three male artists from two male mentors advancing.

After five guys and zero gals made it to the semi-finals three of those males advanced on Tuesday night's Wildcard show.

Two of the qualifiers were from Adam Levine's team and one from Blake Shelton.

Top of the scoreboard was chiseled Chris Jamison, 20, from Team Adam.

He was followed by Blake's rugged country/rock performer Craig Wayne Boyd, 35.

The Maroon 5 frontman celebrated again when his tattooed protégé Matt McAndrew, 23, was also spared.

However, there is still a shred of hope for female coach Gwen Stefani and the already eliminated females from this season.

Nine previously ejected artists were brought back for a chance to be catapulted into the final next week as a 'wildcard' entry.

Each performed a song and, after public voting, the fourth finalist will be revealed on NBC's The Today Show on Wednesday morning by The Voice host Carson Daly.

'This is a completely new move for The Voice,' Carson said.

'We have never done this before,' he added.

First to sing for a spot in the finals was Blake's sixteen-year-old cutie Reagan James.

'You're such a little angel,' said Gwen, 45, who wore a structured, monochrome dress.

'I've missed you,' she added.

Blake called Jessie 'an inventor' and 'a writer' and reminded the audience that she was Taylor Swift's favourite from the show.

Next up was Ryan Sill from Team Gwen who hit some soaring high notes and worked the crowd with Marry Me by Train.

Singing directly to a swooning girl in the front row Ryan got all the females screaming.

'I think that girl in the audience would marry you,' said Adam.

'I think she might be pregnant,' quipped Blake, who is married to fellow country music artist Miranda Lambert.

'It was always a shock to me that you didn't do better,' added Adam while Blake praised Ryan's impressive range.

'I thought that was beautiful,' he told Ryan, who already had been saved three times.

Gwen's sassy talent Anita Antoinette then belted out Waiting On The World To Change by John Mayer.

'I love how you were all business,' said Adam, commending her 'jazz run' in the latter part of the track.

Hat-wearing Taylor John Williams softly engaged the panel with a gentle rendition of Wicked Game by Chris Isaak.

The hat-donning Oregonian changed the melody slightly – which impressed Blake.

'I got a lot of respect for you man,' he told Gwen's former student.

'You're a real artist,' agreed Pharrell, nodding appreciatively.

'You're always so real…I believed every note of that,' cooed the No Doubt singer.

Pharrell's former apprentice Sugar Joans wore a Morticia Addams-style getup to sing Amy Winehouse's sultry track Back To Black.

'You just made this so much harder for everyone else…that was so good,' said Blake.

'When your mouth opens this whole world of soul comes out…the world needs to hear this,' gushed Pharrell.

Luke Wade egged viewers to pick him with Have A Little Faith In Me by John Hiatt.

'I feel like for a minute there you were a little bit lost,' said Adam, giving the first grain of criticism of the night.

'Then you found yourself again…I'm so happy,' he added.

Last was Pennsylvania mother DaNica Shirey from Team Pharrell.

She impressed the panel with a large-lunged yet and vocally controlled version of I Can't Live (If Living Is Without You).

The Happy singer, who has no contestants left, stood to applaud.

'Did you hear that sound,' he said as the crowd screamed.

'That's the sound of America voting you back,' he proclaimed.
