Hixson High Roadshow Pep Rally To Encourage Academics And Attendance In Elementary Schools

  • Monday, September 24, 2018

Hixson High faculty and students will take their school spirit on the road for a pep rally at elementary schools that send students to Hixson High. The pep rally is designed to motivate the future Wildcats by encouraging good academic performance in school and recognizing the youngsters with perfect attendance.

On Friday, a group of Hixson High School student representatives from various clubs and athletic teams will travel to four elementary schools to get the youngsters fired up with Hixson spirit.

The pep rally will make stops at Big Ridge, DuPont, Middle Valley, and Hixson Elementary.

Hixson High Coach and Athletic Director Garrick Hall came up with the idea of the pep rallies and recognition. “In addition to the pep rallies, there will be a special recognition night at one of the Hixson High home games for the elementary children with perfect attendance,” said Mr. Hall. The students will get a pass to enter the game for free on the night of the recognition.

“The reason for the pep rally is to let the elementary students know that Hixson High School is proud of their current success,” he added.  “We also want them to stay motivated for the future.”

Big Ridge Elementary and DuPont perfect attendance students will be recognized at the Hixson High game on Oct. 5, against East Hamilton.  Middle Valley and Hixson Elementary students will be recognized at the Hixson game on Oct. 19, against Central.
