Pedestrian injured in Goodland crash

A Chevy Impala struck and injured a pedestrian in Goodland about 7:55 p.m. Thursday, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol crash report.

Trina Brutsche, 63, of Goodland, drove a 2009 Chevy Impala southbound in the 600 block of Caldwell. The Chevy struck pedestrian Ernest Garza, 53, of Goodland, who came from the west side of the street, the report stated. The Chevy continued to travel before coming to a stop on the west side of the street. Garza also came to rest on the west side of the street.

Garza was injured and taken to Goodland Regional Medical Center. Brutsche was not injured.
