The next major expansion for Star Wars Battlefront is likely to be Outer Rim, which will also be the first paid add-on for the game. Outer Rim will feature new maps, weapons, heroes, and an "all-new mode."
As previously detailed, Outer Rim will take players to the factories on Sullust and Jabba the Hutt's palace on Tattooine, among other places. Details about the new mode were not divulged and, as of yet, Outer Rim doesn't have release date.
At least three further expansions are expected follow Outer Rim. The first, Bespin, is planned for launch between June and August. Death Star, meanwhile, is planned for some time between September and November. The final offering remains untitled and is coming in early 2017.
Battlefront launched in November 2015 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. It shipped more than 13 million copies, outpacing EA's own projections. According to EA, multiple sequels are in development.
