A crash involving a vehicle and pedestrian blocked part of one of the busiest routes out of Cardiff.
The A4232 Ely link road outbound was blocked after the accident between Leckwith Interchange and Culverhouse Cross.
South Wales Police said earlier they were dealing with an "incident".
The Welsh Ambulance Service said they were called to reports of a woman in the road.
Police were called just before 2pm on Wednesday.
Traffic returned to normal at around 9pm.

Casualty 'still breathing' when taken to hospital
A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said that the casualty involved in the earlier incident was still breathing when taken to University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.

One lane is blocked on the M4 westbound due to a crash between junction 33 and 34.
Lane one of three is blocked.
The crash is causing heavy traffic.
Even more delays to Cardiff Bus services
Cardiff Bus are also experiencing delays on their 1, 2, 8, 9, 13, 54 and X45 services due to the earlier incident.
Due to heavy traffic on Whitchurch Road and the Gabalfa Interchange all number 8 and 9 services to the University Hospital of Wales will divert via Allensbank Road until further notice.

Cardiff Bus are reporting further delays to several services across the city.
M4 traffic returned to normal
Traffic on the M4 westbound has returned to normal after a vehicle broke down between junction 34 and 35.
Lane one of three was closed while a coach had its tyre changed.
All restrictions have been now been lifted.
First Cymru services affected
First Cymru Buses said there services have been affected by the incident on the A4232.
On Twitter they added their Swansea to Cardiff service is experiencing delays.

Cardiff Bus is alerting customers to delays in the Leckwith and Canton areas with buses currently running behind schedule.

The A4232 outbound reopened at around 4.50pm.

Several roads across Cardiff are experiencing severe delays not helped by the incident on the A4232.
Further delays on M4
There is slow traffic on the M4 westbound between junction 34 and 35 due to a broken down vehicle.
One lane is closed while a coach is having a tyre changed.
Heavier than normal traffic on A470
There is heavier than normal traffic on the A470 North Road northbound between Boulevard De Nantes and the A48 Western Avenue, Gabalfa interchange.
There is a higher volume of traffic due to the closure of the A4232.
Woman found in the road
The Welsh Ambulance Service said they were called to the scene after reports of a woman in the road.
A spokesman said: “We were called at approximately 2.10pm this afternoon to reports of a woman in the road on the A4232 northbound in Cardiff.
“We sent two crews in emergency ambulances and a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle and a woman was taken to the University Hospital of Wales.”
Incident affecting traffic across Cardiff
Traffic monitors are reporting that traffic is very slow on surrounding roads as commuters are having to find alternate routes while the outbound carriageway remains closed.
Recovery requested
Traffic monitors report that recovery of the vehicle involved has now been requested.
Congestion to Cardiff Bay
Traffic monitors are reporting congestion is stretching to the A4055, Cardiff Bay Retail Park.
Traffic easing on inbound carriageway
The crash on the inbound carriageway between Culverhouse Cross and Leckwith has been cleared.
All restrictions have been lifted but delays remain.
Monitors report that congestion is not helped by vehicles slowing to look at the accident on the opposite carriageway.
Fire service not in attendance
A spokeswoman for the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said that crews have not been called to either incident.
