CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Lowcountry deputies are searching for a stolen trailer containing 20 cylinders of pesticide.

Officials with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office say the trailer was stolen from the 7198-7398 block of Old Jacksonboro Road in Ravenel on Sunday.

According to investigators, the trailer contains 20 gray, 100 pound cylinders containing Methyl Bromide.

“Methyl Bromide is a highly regulated pesticide,” CCSO officials said."It is extremely flammable, fatal if inhaled, and a serious skin and eye irritant."

The sheriff’s office describes the stolen trailer as a black, 2015 Pro-Line 7x16 enclosed dual axle trailer with a diamond plated front, a rear swinging gate, with a right side door. It also has inhalation hazard placards on all four corners.

The trailer has Maryland plates 125330x, and has a VIN number of 564BE1427FR006900.

If you have any information on the stolen trailer you are asked to contact CCSO Detective Will Martin CCSO at (843) 529-5327 or email at wmartin@charlestoncounty.org.

Authorities say if the trailer is located to keep a safe distance and do not attempt to open the trailer and do not touch or inspect the cylinders.
