OH, MY GOODNES. I’M SO HAPPY FOR HIS MOM AND HIS FAMILY AND HIS MOM’S SISTER AFTER HE WAS INDUCTED -- ABDUCTED FROM HIS HOME YESTERDAY. HIS MOM SAYS HE LOVES BALLOONS. THERE HE IS SEEING THE BALLOONS ARE NOW. HE WAS LOCATED THIS MORNING AT A HOTEL IN DUBLIN. HE WAS TAKEN SAFELY. TWO PEOPLE ARE IN CUSTODY. MELINDA MEZA IS THERE FOR US. I DON’T KNOW IF WE HAVE HER MICROPHONE UP. OK. SO NEED TO SEE HIM. THERE WAS AN AMBER ALERT ISSUED YESTERDAY AFTERNOON. THEY OFFICIALLY ISSUED ONE WITH THE MAKE AND MODEL OF THE CAR. POLICE WERE ABLE TO SET UP SURVEILLANCE. THEY WERE ABLE TO TAKE HIM SAFELY AND TAKE TWO PEOPLE INTO CUSTODY INCLUDING HIS FATHER,, I BELIEVE, JOHN COSSO. IT IS AMAZING TO SEE THEM REUNITED. A TRAUMATIC THING HE WENT THROUGH YESTERDAY. IF YOU ARE WATCHING YESTERDAY, YOU HEARD WITH THE MOM SAID HAPPENED. SHE TRIED TO ESCAPE THE HOUSE. SHE -- WITH HER SON, JAYCE COSSO. WHEN SHE TRIED TO LEAVE WITH HIM, SHE HID IN THE GARAGE. THEY HAD BLOCKED HER CAR IN THE DRIVEWAY. THAT IS WHEN THEY RIPPED HIM FROM HER ARMS AND OUT OF THAT CAR. HE WAS SCREAMING AND CRYING, TRYING TO TELL HIS DAD NOT TO DO THIS. HE IS WAVING BACK AT US. I’M SURE A PHOTOGRAPHER WHO IS THERE IS PROBABLY CRYING AND WAVING BACK AT HIM FOR ALL OF US. SO MANY PEOPLE WERE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR HIM. SENDING THEIR PRAYERS AND WELL WISHES. THERE HE IS BEING REUNITED WITH HIS FAMILY IN MODESTO, SAFE AND SOUND AT HOME. WE WILL BE RIGHT BACK AFTER THIS.

Abducted Modesto boy returns home
A 6-year-old boy who was taken from a Modesto home Monday morning, sparking an Amber Alert, has been found safe and returned home.Modesto police said Jayce Cosso, 6, was abducted by his father, John Cosso, 41, at about 7:30 a.m. Monday. Investigators said five other people helped Cosso take the 6-year-old.Police said the father went into Jayce's home on Poinsettia Drive with two other men while three women waited in a car outside.Cosso used pepper spray to force his way into the home, police said.Jayce's mother tried to flee from the home with the boy in her car, but the other car blocked her in, police said."Jayce was so scared, and he said, 'Please, no, Daddy. I don't like you. You're not my friend,' as he was pulled out of the car," the victim's aunt, Vanessa Valente, said.Police believe Cosso and the others left the home in a 2012 black Ford Fusion with California license plate 8BDY654. A statewide Amber Alert was issued later in the afternoon.Dublin police located the car connected to the Amber Alert at a hotel in Dublin on Tuesday morning. John Cosso, his 17-year-old son and Jayce were at the hotel.Deputies from the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office took John Cosso and his 17-year old son into custody. "I have no words yet. Haven’t spoken to anyone yet. Thank you! On my knees in praise. On my knees in so much praise. Appreciation for every soul, every breath, every prayer. You can share that," Jayce's mother, Kim Valente, said shortly after her son was found.No other details have been released.
