Crews find body of man swept away by floodwaters in Uvalde County

UVALDE COUNTY, Texas -- The Uvalde County Sheriff’s Office says the body of a man who was swept away by floodwaters in Uvalde County earlier this week has been found.

An overnight search was launched after 22-year-old Patrick Ojeda went missing along Highway 187 near Sabinal. His his body was found downriver on Friday.

The Sabinal River rose about 11 feet Monday night into Tuesday. It reached levels not seen since the flooding event during Memorial Day weekend in 2015, according to meteorologists.
