Aston Villa will face Manchester United at Old Trafford in the third round of the FA Cup, and supporters on social media are fuming about the draw.

Steven Gerrard will face the Red Devils for the first time as manager after being paired with United in the Cup, with Villa’s match against the Manchester giants one of the ties of the round.

In total there are three all-Premier Leagues ties in this round of the FA Cup, with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool all facing lower-league opposition. Yet for Villa, a trip to Old Trafford awaits.

And fans on social media are not pleased with the draw, with some supporters claiming that there is a conspiracy going on between Villa and the FA after being drawn away from home yet again.

Indeed, Villa didn’t play a single home game in this season’s League Cup, with the Midlands side playing away to AFC Barrow and Chelsea. And fans are fuming that they will play another cup match on the road.

Whilst Villa are playing one of the highlight fixtures of the round, supporters were hoping for a game at Villa Park, which hasn’t hosted a cup fixture in what feels like an eternity.
