Police arrest suspect in shooting of 29-year-old female in Madison

Police have arrested a suspect in the shooting of a woman in Madison.
Madison police said Roy Yoakum, 36 of Madison, was arrested for an outstanding warrant Monday. Police said they are not looking for other suspects.
On Nov. 11 the suspect allegedly shot a 29-year-old woman in the chest at the intersection of North Fair Oaks Avenue and Milwaukee Street on Madison's East Side.
The woman was transported to the hospital and is now in a stable condition.
